Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 April 2026 · Version 1.1 (beta)

Welcome and scope

These terms govern your use of cramsnap.com and (when launched) the CramSnap revision app. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

CramSnap is operated from England. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of England and Wales.

Beta status and limitation on accuracy

CramSnap is currently in a beta phase. The website and, when launched, the revision app are provided for educational purposes only. While we work hard to ensure content is accurate and helpful, we do not guarantee that any information, past-paper link, practice question, AI-generated feedback, mark-scheme interpretation, topic prediction, or other content on CramSnap is correct, complete, or up to date.

You should not rely solely on CramSnap content for exam preparation. Always verify answers against official mark schemes published by the relevant exam board, and consult your teacher or tutor for authoritative guidance. Grades achieved in actual examinations depend on many factors and we make no promises about your results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for errors in content, including AI-generated marks or feedback, and no liability for grades obtained (or not obtained) as a result of using CramSnap.

Past paper links and exam board copyright

Our Past Papers Hub organises and links to past papers and mark schemes hosted on official exam board websites (including Pearson/Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Eduqas/WJEC, and Cambridge International). CramSnap does not host, reproduce, or redistribute exam board materials. All copyright in those papers and mark schemes belongs to the respective exam boards.

When you click a link to an external exam board site, you leave CramSnap and are bound by that site's own terms and copyright policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or policies of external sites.

Our intellectual property

All original content on cramsnap.com and the CramSnap revision app is the exclusive intellectual property of CramSnap and is protected by UK and international copyright, database rights, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws. "Original content" includes, without limitation: our written commentary and explanatory text; topic frequency and mark-distribution analysis; grade boundary data compilations; mark-scheme-language glossaries and key-phrase banks; cram lines, study notes, and question banks authored by CramSnap; visual diagrams and illustrations created by or commissioned by CramSnap; audio and voice-revision scripts; page and application design, layout, and user interface; software source code; and the CramSnap name, logo, brand elements, and associated marks.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to access and use this content solely for your own individual GCSE revision and personal study. You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • reproduce, copy, republish, or redistribute any content (in whole or in part) to any third party, website, forum, social platform, shared drive, messaging channel, or physical medium;
  • extract, mine, scrape, harvest, or systematically download content by any automated means (including bots, crawlers, headless browsers, or AI agents) for any purpose, including training or fine-tuning of machine-learning models;
  • use our content as input to any AI or data-analysis pipeline, including for the creation of derivative revision products or competing services;
  • resell, sublicense, lease, or otherwise commercialise our content in any form;
  • remove, alter, or obscure copyright notices, watermarks, canary tokens, or attribution that appear on or within CramSnap content;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the CramSnap software or attempt to derive source code from compiled assets;
  • build a revision service, question bank, or educational product that reuses, adapts, or substantially derives from CramSnap content.

All rights not expressly granted under these terms are reserved. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you. We may revoke or restrict your licence at any time for breach of these provisions.

Enforcement. We actively monitor for unauthorised reproduction of our content, including through watermarking and per-user canary tokens embedded in our study materials. If we identify content of ours appearing on a third-party service without permission, we will issue takedown requests under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent UK/EU mechanisms, and we reserve the right to pursue any further legal remedies available.

Acceptable use

In addition to the intellectual-property rules above, you agree not to:

  • use CramSnap for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
  • circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the service (including rate limits, bot protection, and access controls);
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, to other users' accounts, or to our backend systems;
  • introduce viruses, malware, denial-of-service scripts, or any other harmful code;
  • impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or create an account using false information;
  • use the service to harass, defame, abuse, threaten, or harm any other person;
  • use the service in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure.

We reserve the right (but are not obliged) to investigate, suspend, rate-limit, or permanently block access to any visitor, IP address, or account that we reasonably believe is in breach of these terms, and to cooperate with law enforcement in investigating suspected illegal activity.

Copyright complaints (notice and takedown)

If you believe content on CramSnap infringes your copyright, please send a notice to info@cramsnap.com with: (i) identification of the copyrighted work; (ii) the specific URL(s) where the allegedly infringing material appears; (iii) your contact details; (iv) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised; and (v) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We will review and respond promptly.

AI features (when launched)

When the CramSnap revision app launches, it will include features that use third-party artificial intelligence providers to process content you submit — for example, photographs of handwritten work uploaded for AI marking. By using these features you consent to the transmission of that content to the relevant AI provider (currently planned to include Google Gemini, with other providers potentially added over time). See our Privacy Policy for details.

AI-generated marks, feedback, and explanations are produced by statistical models and may be wrong. Treat them as a revision aid, not as authoritative marking. Always sanity-check important feedback against the official mark scheme.

No warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or harmful components. We do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of CramSnap is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid to us for services in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including (without limitation) loss of grades, loss of educational opportunity, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of data, or reputational harm.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of CramSnap at any time. We may also update these terms; when we do, we will post a notice on the site and update the "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
